Our story
The Parasol idea was thought up in 2011 by Dennis and Tim Bouwers who both have extensive experience in the South African leisure industry.
With both motorhome rental and manufacturing businesses in their portfolio, the idea of using the extensive imports of products and materials and offering them to both other manufacturers as well as end-users sounded like a good idea. It was.
So, whether you want to improve your existing caravan or motorhome by adding convenience and practicality, or undertake a self-build from scratch, we should be able to make your life easier with a collection of over 500 products on offer.
How we started
In 2005, we secured the import and exclusive distribution of Fiamma products for the southern African market. From there on it quickly expanded to the French tech company Alden to distribute their range of 12V satellite systems.
Since then, we added many more products like CBE, Thetford, Zadi, Zwaardvis and most recently the multi-product US manufacturer Lippert.
Our mission
To provide both manufacturers and the public with quality sourced products and after-sale service to enhance many types of leisure vehicles like motorhomes, campervans, caravans and even overlander vehicles.
